STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURES

TENDER

DRIVING PROCEDURE

  • Turn MASTER SWITCH to “ON” 
  • Start truck and let air pressure build, (90 psi). Light and warning sound will shut off. 
  • With foot, apply brake and push in “YELLOW” parking brake knob. 
  • With foot still on brake, push “R” for Reverse, “N” for Neutral and “D” for Drive. 
  • After driving to destination and/or ready to park, apply foot on brake, push “N” for Neutral and pull out “YELLOW” parking knob to set Parking Brake. 

PUMPING PROCEDURES

PORTA TANK PROCEDURE
  • Unload Porta tank from passenger side of unit and set up 
  • Attach rear chute and release lock – grab tall handle and pull down to fill tank 

TO DRAFT WATER FROM TANK TO TRUCK

  • Attach soft suction hose from passenger side of truck (6 inch) to jumbo gate valve at pump station 
  • Tank to pump open – RED toggle switch 
  • Close tank to pump 
  • Open gate valve 
  • Turn throttle up and once full, turn throttle back down 
  • Tank to pump closed 
  • Close gate valve 
  • To drain suction, open gate valve switch 
  • Turn off PTO switch 

HYDRANT FILL
  • Pull Tank to Fill handle 
  • Attach hose to INLET and turn on hydrant 
  • Open handle next to INLET 
  • Once tank is full, close handle next to INLET 
  • Turn off hydrant and disconnect hose 
  • Close Tank to Fill handle

CROSSLAYS 
  • Pull all hose out of crosslay 
  • Always watch gauges…NEVER EXCEED 100psi

FAST ATTACK - INTERNATIONAL 

DRIVING PROCEDURES

  • Turn MASTER SWITCH to “ON” 
  • Start truck and let air pressure build, (90 psi). Light and warning sound will shut off. 
  • With foot, apply brake and push in “YELLOW” parking brake knob. 
  • With foot still on brake, push “R” for Reverse, “N” for Neutral and “D” for Drive. 
  • After driving to destination and/or ready to park, apply foot on brake, push “N” for Neutral and pull out “YELLOW” parking knob to set Parking Brake. 

PUMPING PROCEDURES

  • To pump, turn of pump switch…(BELOW RADIO) 
  • Pull tank to pump handle 
  • Pull tank fill 

TO FILL TRUCK, FILL FROM PASSENGER SIDE 

  • Attach hose to 2.5 inch suction 
  • Attach other end to water hydrant and turn on 
  • Open handle next to suction 
  • When full, close handle next to suction and shut off water hydrant 
  • Disconnect suction from truck and from hydrant
